St. John Ambulance Ontario is offering an exciting opportunity for a qualified and ambitious individual to take the role of Business Development Coordinator for our St. John Ambulance operations in the Northwest Region. The successful candidate contributes to St. John’s success by achieving sales and profit objectives by attracting and acquiring new business and by leveraging strategic relationships within the Northwest region.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Identifies clients, presents sales proposals, and closes training and product sales to generate new business for the region
• Builds and maintains key relationships with significant clients of the region
• Assists in the development of sales and marketing materials and presentations to support training and product sales in the region’s catchment area
• Understands and can clearly articulate features for all SJA services and products to help potential clients meet workplace requirements
• Ensures other staff members understand the sales-process, so they are more effective when interacting with customers
• Remains current with competitors’ products and services as well as legislative changes and other business-related aspects that may have an impact on the sales function and / or other related regional activities
• Attends networking / sales events including but not limited to Chamber of Commerce, Trade shows
• Leverage social media platforms to build St. John Ambulance within the Northwest Region to generate training and product sales
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Regional Manager KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS,
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE:
• Post-secondary degree or diploma or equivalent work experience in a relevant area
• Successful experience in sales, marketing and customer service
• Knowledge of the Northwest region community programs related to health and safety
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Strong customer service skills
• Computer literate with familiarity and ease with various computer applications, including Internet and Email and social media, CRM
• Ability to travel within the Northwest region as required
